What is the Healthy Foods Card?

The Humana Healthy Foods Card assists members, who have this benefit as part of their Humana plan, in extending monthly food resources to overcome financial barriers that might otherwise limit access to sufficient food. The card comes with options for monthly allowances of either $25 or $50. Any leftover amount at the end of the month will not be carried over to the next month.

How do members use their cards?

Using the card is simple:

  • Activate the card
  • Visit a participating store
  • Shop for approved healthy foods
  • Check out
  • Swipe the Healthy Foods Card first to pay for approved purchases

Approved food items will be automatically covered up to the available balance. A separate payment method will be required for ineligible items or if the cost exceeds the card balance. For balance inquiries, call the number listed on the back of your card or visit www.HealthyFoodsCard.com.

You can use your benefits to purchase thousands of approved foods and beverages. Refer to the list below to help you shop for qualifying foods.

Items ineligible for qualification include non-food and pet-related products, alcoholic beverages, baby formula, confectionery, chips, coffee shop offerings, desserts, freshly baked goods, soda, and tobacco.

Check Your Card Balance

Quickly and easily check the balance on your card without logging into your account! Simply enter your 16-digit card number on the front of the card and the 3-digit security/CVV code on the back of the card.

How do I use my benefits to shop online?

  • To access the online store, kindly click on “Shop Now” located on the About page under the section titled “Ways to Order.”
  • Add all of the approved items that you’d like to purchase to your cart on Walmart.com.
  • Review your cart and click Check Out. You may sign in or continue as a Guest.
  • Select your delivery method – home delivery or store pickup. You’ll need to enter any delivery information.
  • Select ‘Gift Card’ as your payment method and enter your 17-digit card number and 4-digit security code listed on the back of your Healthy Benefits+ card.
  • Click Apply Gift Card, and your benefits will be automatically applied to eligible items in your cart.
  • Remember, your benefits will only be applied to eligible items up to your available benefit balance; you will need to enter another form of payment for ineligible items.

How do I use my benefits to shop for prepared meals and produce boxes?

  • Visit Mom’s Meals to find prepared meals as well as produce and pantry boxes you’d like to buy.
  • Follow the ordering instructions.
  • At checkout, use your 17-digit account number and 4-digit security code.

How do I use my benefits to shop in store?

  • Use the online store finder or the Healthy Benefits+ mobile app to locate a participating store near you.
  • You can use the product scanner in the mobile app to check item eligibility while in store.
  • When you’re ready to checkout, have the cashier scan your Healthy Benefits+ card or mobile app barcode before any other form of payment.
  • You will see your benefits applied immediately.
  • Remember, your benefits will only be applied to approved foods and beverages up to your available benefit balance; you will need to enter another form of payment for ineligible foods and beverages.
