Chaat – A pioneer of Indian street food, just like parantha you can find several varieties of chaat in Delhi. Some of the best varieties of chaat can be tasted in the markets of Chandni Chowk. Outlets like Bittu Tikki Wala, Daulat ki Chaat, Natraj Dahi Bhalle Wala, and UPSC building are some of the best places to enjoy the tingling taste of chaat.

Butter Chicken – One of the most lip smacking dish of the city, the origin of butter chicken can be credited to the Moti Mahal Restaurant located in Daryaganj. Started in 1950, the restaurant has been stirring up the finest version of butter chicken in its several outlets. Though almost every other restaurant in the city offers butter chicken in their menu, the best is always offered by the first.

Chhole bhature – A local favourite, chhole bhature, made of fried pooris made of refined flour and yeast and spicy grams gives a stiff competition to parantha on breakfast table. A normal platter consists of heavy bhaturas, so it’s better to have it empty stomach or sip a cup of tea post consumption. One of the popular Punjabi dishes, you can easily spot street vendors, eating joints and even restaurants offering their version of chhole bhature. Sitaram Diwan Chand in Paharganj and Chache Di Hatti in Kamla Nagar market are some of the best places to enjoy a platter.
