Customize where you receive Xfinity account alerts and communications within My Account. While your comcast.net email is typically set as the default preferred address, you can easily switch it up anytime.
Adding a Personal Email Address
Follow these steps to add a personal email address to your account:
- Sign in to My Account and navigate to the Users tab.
- Select Edit next to the user you wish to add an email address for.
- In the Contact Information section, click Add a Personal Email Address. (If there’s already a personal address linked, you can remove it and start anew).
- Enter and confirm your email address, then click Save.
- We’ll send a verification link to validate your new email. Note: For security, the verification link expires in 72 hours.
Setting Your Preferred Email Address
To designate a personal email as your preferred address:
- Sign in to My Account.
- Choose the “Edit” option beside the user whose preferred email you wish to modify.
- Then, in the Contact Information section, locate and click the “Edit” button within the email settings.
- Click Make this preferred to select your preferred email address. A “Preferred” indicator will appear next to your choice.
Remember, your comcast.net email remains the default preferred address until you update the setting in My Account.
